Discover new projects in 'Carnival of Feltmaking'

Gillian Harris’ recently published book, “Carnival of Feltmaking, Easy Techniques and 26 Colorful Projects for You and Your Home” (St. Martin’s Press/$22.95), offers readers fun and new ways to make felt using “merino wool tops.”

If you’re really serious about developing more interesting ways to make and create with handmade felt, then this is the book you’ll definitely want to add to your collection.

Projects featured in the book include baby booties, a pet collar, a fairy, roses, a bird, a butterfly curtain, an eyeglass case, a knitting needle roll, a baby hat, a carry-all bag, a scarf, a Christmas stocking, and even a chandelier!

Harris also shares with readers instructions for the different techniques used for creating the projects. Among them are wet felting, needle felting and flat felting.

Happy “Feltmaking”!!!
