Why not try a brand new approach to knitting? Designer Mathew Gnagy offers insight into non-traditional ways for knitting sweaters — sideways and at odd angles in his recently published book, “Knitting Off The Axis, Projects + Techniques for Sideways Knitting” (Interweave Books/$24.95).
The book is divided into three sections, Truly Sideways, Mostly Sideways and Every-Which-Way. The patterns are unique and offer a close to the body fit with lots of interesting texture.
