Crafter Jane Reiter conducts knitting with video tape class

Join crafter Jane Reiter Saturday from 1-3 p.m. as she instructs a knitting class using video tapes to make a bag. This session will be the “premier” of her new patterns using repurposed materials.

“Recycle and reuse videotape along with “magic ball” yarn created from scraps and leftovers. Topics covered include, how to knit with magic ball yarn and VHS tape, and how to make an I-cord handle,” writes Reiter.

The fee is $55 and includes a kit in choice of color, pattern, magic ball yarn and VHS tape. All skill levels are welcome, however, you must know how to knit. Participants are asked to bring a US#11 bamboo circular needle and  24-inch US #11 bamboo double point needles.

The class will be held at The Yarn Garden, 111 West Lawrence Ave. (on Courthouse Square) in Charlotte.
