Tanis Gray’s book titled “Knitting Architecture, 20 Patterns Exploring Form, Function and Detail” (Interweave/$24.95) will take readers on a journey through the ins and outs of creating knitwear that explores construction designed to work comfortably for fit and function.
Some patterns feature colorwork designs, while others showcase lots of texture created with a range of stitch patterns.
The book includes patterns for both classic and fashion-forward designs, including a pullover sweater, a wrap, a shrug, a cardigan, a shift, socks and a playful hat.
Gray, once the yarn editor for SoHo Publishing, and author of “Knit Local” and “Capitol Knits,” has had hundreds of her knitwear designs published throughout the world.
For a chance at winning a copy of the book just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell me a short story about your knitting. Please put the word “knitting” in the subject line, and remember to include your name and address.
