Learn more about 'modern quilting' Nov. 21

Members of the Cameo Quilt Guild will offer a presentation by Debbie Grifka, vice-president of the Ann Arbor Modern Quilt Guild, who’ll discuss the main characteristics of modern quilts in her lecture titled, “What Do They Mean By Modern Quilting?” The lecture will be held Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. at Clawson United Methodist Church, 205 N. Main St. (just north of 14 Mile) in Clawson.

“An award-winning quilter and emerging national teacher, Debbie will also present a workshop to create a beautiful machine applique pillow on Nov. 23.”

The fee for Thursday’s lecture is $10 per person, and $50 for Saturday’s workshop.
