1. The time limit, that is.
The Tigers might go to the 5 p.m. deadline on Wednesday before finalizing their 25-man roster.
2. That’s because of the uncertainty surrounding Brandon Inge’s availability.
His sore groin is better today, but he’s missing his fourth straight game all the same.
3. If Inge goes on the DL, today’s lineup is probably the starting lineup for the opener.
Ramon Santiago would be the second baseman. Ryan Raburn would be the designated hitter.
4. But it still sounds as if manager Jim Leyland would start Inge at 2B in the opener if Inge is healthy.
5 And a good line from Leyland about looking forward to leaving spring training: “I’m ready to go. I’m Applebee’d out.”
