Breaking news: Tigers' Justin Verlander loses no-hitter in ninth

It’s over.

Tigers ace Justin Verlander lost his no-hit bid with one out in the ninth inning Friday night at Comerica Park.

Pittsburgh’s Josh Harrison hit a soft liner up the middle, crushing Verlander’s bid for the third no-hitter of his career.

Verlander struck out 12 and walked just two.

The Tigers won, 6-0.
