Tigers' luck turns as White Sox maintain lead

Omar Infante, who was given the error on a broken double play that scored two runs in the fourth, didn’t have any better luck at the plate. In the seventh, he lined a shot that White Sox pitcher Nate Jones miraculously snagged.

Jones was effective shutting down the Tigers. The White Sox reliever only gave up one hit while striking out two in 2 2/3 innings.

Donnie Veal relieved Jones and promptly struck out Fielder to close out the top of the inning.

Octavio Dotel replaced Phil C0ke as the Tigers reliever in the bottom of the sixth.
