Drew Smyly walked Joe Mauer, but was able to get Justin Morneau to strike out to end the inning. It was Smyly’s second strikeout of the first inning. Getting off to a good start hasn’t been an issue for Smyly this season. We’ll look to see if he can find a groove and give the Tigers five or six strong innings.
