Tigers fans salute A's Brandon Inge, Pat Neshek

During pregame ceremonies, former Tiger Brandon Inge got more applause than boos as he was introduced. In addition, they saluted A’s pitcher Pat Neshek, whose son died Wednesday, just 23 hours after he was born.
The biggest roar came for third baseman and Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera, with fans waving towels and chanting, “MVP! MVP” as he took his place before the national anthem.
Mickey Lolich tossed out the ceremonial first pitch as starter Justin Verlander finished his preparations.
