In the fifth, Doug Fister had one of his easiest innings, needing just 13 pitches to retire the top of the lineup in order. His pitching repertoire is still keeping the A’s hitters guessing and he hasn’t allowed a hit in the past two innings, after working out of binds in the second and third innings. He’s still in good shape to go seven innings and get to the back end of the bullpen.
