Tigers mount another rally, tie A's in 8th inning

Delmon Young led off the eighth inning with a single and Jhonny Peralta followed with a single to right. Andy Dirks sacrificed, putting the pinch runners (Don Kelly on third and Danny Worth on second) in scoring position. But pinch-hitter Quintin Berry struck out, leaving it up to another pinch-hitter, Alex Avila.
But Oakland’s Ryan Cook threw a wild pitch with Avila batting and Kelly was able to score from third, tying the game at 4.
