Infante grounds into double play to end inning, A's lead 1-0

All Omar Infante had to do was not ground into a double play and Miguel Cabrera would have come to the plate in the third inning with at least one man on base. Too bad for the Tigers, though, Infante did ground into the inning-ending double play.

The Tigers are looking comfortable at the plate, even though that hasn’t translated into any runs, and Anibal Sanchez appears to have calmed down on the mound. This game is shaping up to be a good one.

Brett Anderson has thrown 39 pitches through three innings for the A’s. It has been said by Oakland that since this is his first game back from injury, he probably won’t throw more than 80 pitches.
