Tigers finally deliver big inning, lead 6-0 in seventh

Austin Jackson had men on the corners after an Omar Infante single that moved Jhonny Peralta to third base with one out. Jackson lined a single to right-center and scored Peralta to give the Tigers a huge insurance run.

The RBI is Jackson’s second of the night.

After a Ryan Cook walk to Quintin Berry, Miguel Cabrera got a shot with one out and the bases loaded. Cook was ahead of Cabrera  with no balls and two strikes before he hit him with a pitch for another Tigers run.

Then it was Prince Fielder’s turn. With the A’s outfielders playing the big man deep, he got a bloop single to center that scored Jackson.

Delmon Young came to the plate next and lined a single to left on the first pitch. Incase you lost count, this makes it 6-0.

Andy Dirks grounded out and the A’s got the force at home plate.

Peralta flew out to end an inning in which he led off.

It sure looks like the Tigers are closing in on the ALCS. Let’s hope the nearly half an hour rest for Justin Verlander won’t affect his control on the mound.
