Tigers closing in on ALCS, lead 6-0 after seven

Justin Verlander didn’t let the Tigers long four-run inning affect his pitching.

After sitting for nearly half an hour, the Tigers ace got back to work and set down the A’s in order, recording two strikeouts to bring his total on the night to ten.

The Tigers are closing in on their second straight trip to the American League Championship Series, but the A’s have showed resiliency all year. You can’t count them out until it’s over.
