Delmon Young took Derek Lowe deep to extend the Tigers lead to 3-0 over the Yankees, and in the process becomes the Tigers all-time postseason leader in home runs (6). Yes, you read that correctly.
Jhonny Peralta hit a one-out double following Young’s big blast, and Avisail Garcia brought him home with a two-out single.
A win tonight would be impressive for the Tigers, especially if they shut the Yankees out in a game where Doug Fister struggled so mightily but stepped up big in clutch situations.
