Justin Verlander picked up where he left off last week in Oakland and got all three Yankee hitters out in the first inning. He picked up one strikeout on Ichiro.
Most experts say if you’re going to get Verlander, get him early. And the Yankees didn’t. Let’s hope the Tiger bats can provide some spark early and Verlander can just cruise through this game.
