At 6 p.m. tonight on the MLB Network, as a new way of leading up to its post-season awards, the Baseball Writers Association of America wlll announce the five finalists for MVP in each league and the three finalists in each league for the Cy Young Award.
It’s a certainty that Miguel Cabrera will be a finalist for American League MVP, but will Justin Verlander be a finalist for Cy Young?
I think he will be, along with Tampa Bay’s David Price and Jered Weaver of the Angels.
The AL Cy Young winner will be announced on Nov. 14. The AL MVP will be announced on Nov. 15.
