Detroit Tiger Prince Fielder and wife Chanel have joined the team to “Uncork for a Cause.”
They will host a special event at the Townsend Hotel at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2, to benefit Common Ground and Ele’s Place, two nonprofits that support families in crisis in the Detroit area.
The evening features the release of a limited production 2010 Prince Fielder Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Only one barrel was produced by Napa winemaker Jason Moore. Each bottle is individually numbered.
The event includes a menu by Chef Jim Bologna, wine tasting, and an auction with sports memorabilia, fine wine and travel opportunities.
Guests can mingle with the Fielders.
Admission is $75 and includes food and drinks.
