Though Riesling failed to make the final cut for the sweepstakes awards at the 35th annual Michigan Wine and Spirits Competition last week in East Lansing , you will see that a fair number of the state’s signature wines still medaled. In fact, the Rieslings from the new Blustone Vineyards in Leelanau and 2 Lads on Old Mission Peninsula took Double Golds.
