It’s here and it’s fun and it’s riveting and it’s full of real tears and broken dreams. The NCAA Tournament is always good, and this year, it should be better than ever around here.
Michigan State and Michigan both enter as high seeds. Detroit is back where it belongs as a mid-major danger. While you peruse the brackets, I’ve got a couple treats to get you in the mood.
First, take a look at the “One Shining Moment” video after Michigan beat Seton Hall to win the 1989 national championship. You’ll notice everyone looks much younger, oddly enough. Added bonus: Shots of an agitated Lou Henson!
And here is a really cool Michigan State-centric version of “One Shining Moment” after the Spartans beat Florida to win the 2000 national championship. Lots of joy and pain, and lots of Mateen Cleaves.
Enjoy. And get ready for more.
