CRUSH Birmingham to bring out wine and culinary celebs

The sixth annual CRUSH Birmingham event to support the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan is Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.

The most anticipated part of the program is the Wine and Food Classic from 6:30 to 9 p.m. with famous chefs, wine personalities and Master Sommeliers from Michigan and across the country. They will be at stations providing wine and food pairings and advising guests on wine choices and culinary matches.

Following the Classic is the After Hours event sponsored by Remy Cointreau at 10 p.m. in the Townsend Hotel’s Regency Ballroom. Guests will be treated to live music and luxury spirits, and late-night bites at 11 p.m.

The Honorary Family Vineyard of the event is Marchesi di Barolo with proprietor Anna Abbona, of Barolo, Italy.

There is a three tier ticket system: General admission for the food and wine classic and afterhours party is $250.

Patron tickets are $350, which also includes a private Champagne reception from 6 to 6:30 p.m.

For young adults age 21-35, the general admission cost for the food and wine classic and afterhours party is $125.
